This book has won the Newberry Honor. It is written in the form of poems and is a really interesting book. This is a non-fiction book about a young Indian-American girl named Reha. The story follows Reha's journey after finding out her mother has Leukemia (blood cancer). She also discovers her interest in blood cells. The story covers the theme of a family really well and is a must-read. I would recommend this book to ages 11-14. Younger kids will find some of the themes upsetting.
