Before I could read, I loved this book so much that I had learnt it by heart. I am told that just at the age of 3, I was a huge Ramayan buff. This is a good book for younger children to read. It breaks the story down into simple pages, and the illustrations make it easy to follow. The author doesn't narrate the part of the story where Ram forces Sita to undergo a test of fire to prove her "purity". I think it's good that the author has left this part of the story out for young children because they are too young to debate or understand why this was wrong. It's also a fun gift to give children during the Diwali season.
