This is a centuries-old classic that centres around the hero Achilles. It begins at his birth and mostly focuses on his time in the Trojan War. You get to see his bonds with Patrocules and his power over the armies of Greece, even when he wasn’t a very powerful king. It also shows us how grief can be a powerful thing and can literally empower armies. I enjoyed reading this book, but people who don’t like Greek mythology wouldn’t enjoy it as much.
