This book is told from two perspectives, a boy named Stewart, who lost his mom and is gifted academically, but does not fit in much in school. The second perspective is from a girl named Ashley, whose parents went through a divorce after her dad came out as gay. She is a very social girl but doesn’t do well academically. When Stewart’s dad and Ashley’s mom move in together, it forces a reluctant Ashley to get along with a willing Stewart, who now threatens her “social status” at school. This is a very sweet book and an easy read.
