Wonder

August Pullman is a normal boy. Except that, he looks nothing like "normal". For this reason, he has been home-schooled all his life. That is, before middle school, when he goes to school for the first time. August soon realises that people respond to his appearance in many different ways, and attending school is hard. Is he willing to continue for his friends and ignore the bullies? And more importantly, can he? This story is told from many different perspectives and is a must-read. There is also a movie on this book. There is also a side book called "Auggie and Me" by the same author, which is written from the perspective of three different characters from the original book. I liked Auggie and Me because it explained why certain characters in the Wonder story acted the way they did. I loved this book and the movie as well, and I would definitely recommend every child read it at least once.
