This is a beautiful tale of friendship between Wilbur the pig and Charlotte the spider. Wilbur is supposed to be cooked soon, but Charlotte hatches a plan to save him. She shows her wit and hard work in the end and manages to save Wilbur. There are all kinds of interesting characters in the barn, especially Templeton, the greedy and selfish rat. This is a beautiful story. It’s good for kids around the ages of 8 and 9. Also by the same author is Stuart Little, a fun tale about a mouse. There are movies made on both of these books. I didn’t like the movie made on Charlotte’s Web, but the Stuart Little movie was not too bad.
