Maggie ~has~ wanted a puppy for years, and on her tenth birthday, she is finally getting one. Then Maggie goes to the pet store and finds out she is allergic to all animals with fur or feathers. On top of that, Maggie has to start a new school, and she does not know anyone there.

This book is a short read and a really fun book. This book explores the themes of family and friendship. I cannot imagine how difficult it is to be allergic to animals, as I love dogs. I found this book to be a very nice story and good for people of all ages.
