I never got into this series but my brother loved it. It's an easy to read chapter book for early readers. The series tells the story of a dog named Stick Dog and his friends- Stripes, Poo-Poo and Mutt. These four dogs get into all sorts of shenanigans and in one book, they put themselves at risk of being captured by the police, just so they can have ice cream on a hot day. 

This is a really humorous and fun series. It's also great for dog lovers. I would highly recommend this series for reluctant readers who don't like reading long books. It also has a large print and illustrations, so it's a great first chapter book for younger kids!
