This was the second Agatha Christie book I read. The first was Murder on the Orient Express. I found it extremely interesting and hard to put down. Agatha Christie writes murder mysteries in a way that keeps you guessing till the end. She bases her murders on human psychology which I find fascinating. It is always hard to review mysteries without revealing the ending, but in the case of this book, it is impossible to guess the ending. This book centres around the death of a wealthy woman named Linnet Doyle, who is murdered on a ship. Agatha Christie's murder mysteries only fall together when they are solved. I would not recommend this book to people under 11 or 12 as it does focus on some mature themes and have some gory scenes.
I also read Appointment With Death by Agatha Christie, which was not one of my favourite books by Agatha Christie, but I still enjoyed it. It centres around the murder of the sadistic Mrs Boyton, someone who is a terrible dictator to her family. Agatha Christie questions the ethics of murder in her books, whether the murder of a sadist and dictator is justified in this one. Her family seems to be guilty, but the detective, Hercule Poirot, needs to find out who and why. My favourite Agatha Christie remains The Death On The Nile.
