I Dissent
DEBBIE LEVY
This is the story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a famous judge on the Supreme Court of the United States. She saw inequality and prejudice against women and Jews while growing up. She hated that boys were expected to change the world while girls were expected to marry well. She grew up and went to law school, where she found gender inequality more prevalent. She fought prejudice and disagreed against the mistreatment of anyone due to the fact that they weren’t white or male. Her family was unorthodox from other families at the time, and her husband, while very successful himself, would do the cooking and housework. This is an inspirational story about how girls can achieve anything, and I highly recommend it to boys and girls alike.
