A beautifully written series, Enid Blyton shows us just how British boarding school life is lived through the vivid picture she paints through her words. I’d like to recommend this series for ages 8-10.  It’s about a pair of greedy, selfish and insensitive twins who have been sent away to boarding school. At first they never shared any of their delicious tiffin with anyone in school and never obeyed the school rules. They were named the ‘Stuck Up Twins’ by sharp tongued Janet and were thoroughly disliked by everyone in school. But they changed completely after a few months of learning things the hard way! Soon they were enjoying school life. Taking part in lacrosse matches, midnight feasts, hockey games, birthday parties and everything else the school had to offer. They became hugely popular and were good at their lessons. So much so, that when they were in the upper sixth, they became joint head girls of the school!
