RABBIT & BEAR

Julian Gough and Jim Field

This is a series about a grumpy rabbit and a friendly bear who clash when the bear wakes up during the winter. Rabbit is harsh towards Bear initially but they eventually become good friends  and he helps him make a snowman.

I liked that the first book had a lot of scientific concepts on gravity, avalanches and nature. I definitely liked that they were presented in a way that made it easy for young kids to understand the overall idea without boring or confusing them. I found it really fascinating that Rabbit eats his own poop.

All in all, I thought that this was a funny book that is great for young kids who like both science and a good laugh.
